This film interprets the multiple symbolic meanings of the bus in Panama City. Anthropological thick description, in the form of layers of interviews with people from all walks of Panamanian life (buses are described through gossip, a typical Panamanian way of gathering information), is interspersed with post-modern sensory imagery of bus rides. By these means, the film touches upon a broad range of issues including transportation, globalization, and the expression of Panamanian cultural identity.
