Dressing To Keep From Disappearing seeks to engage the Horniman Museum and Gardens’ audience with the question of authenticity. Authenticity is at the front of visitors’ minds as they explore a museum’s galleries or website, the museum is an institution which is charged with providing ‘the real thing’. Using the universally applicable concept of the way we dress, our video seeks to engage its viewers with an inspiring take on a question shared by the Kalasha and museum-goers alike: What makes things authentic?
