15th RAI Film Festival

SAVE THE DATES!

For its 15th edition, the RAI Film Festival will again be returning to the Watershed Cinema, Bristol. The core of the festival will be the screening of films shortlisted for the five prizes on offer. There will also be a diverse range of parallel events, such as further screenings on themes of current interest, specialised workshops and master classes, with a particular emphasis on student filmmaking. In the evenings, there will be a series of ‘gala’ events, including a celebration of the work of Jean Rouch on the centenary of his birth

 

Film submissions will shortly be invited with a closing date in September.

Details of how to buy registration passes and prices will also be publicised here in the near future.

The 14th RAI International Festival of Ethnographic Film was been held in Bristol from Tuesday 16 to Friday 19 June 2015. It was hosted jointly with The Watershed Cinema in Bristol, The Department of Archaeology and Anthropology, University of Bristol and The Center for Visual Anthropology, Department of Anthropology, Dornsife College, University of Southern California, LA, California.

The Royal Anthropological Institute is pleased to announce that the following Film Prizes have been awarded:
