The International Festival of Ethnographic Film
is a biennial event organised by the Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland (RAI). The Festival is peripatetic and in previous years has been held in London (1985), Manchester (1990 & 1992), and Canterbury (1994). It is based around the screening of films entered for the various RAI film prizes. It also generally features additional events such as seminars, workshops, special lectures, a video library, masterclasses, etc. This year it will again be held in Canterbury and will include the following highlights:
